Why we do not use traditional cleaning products?

3rd July 2021

Cleaning workers are exposed to many risk factors,  they have a high incidence of asthma and other respiratory symptoms. Findings confirm that a substantial part (up to 1/3) of the mass sprayed from a spray bottle does not reach the intended surface. Thus, the use of cleaning sprays can result in chemical airway exposure

Many conventional cleaning products were also found to show potential for new particle formation in the presence of ozone. The new particles formed have an even higher deposition fraction (26–29%) for the pulmonary region, indicating that these particles can reach far down into the respiratory system.

Another study examining children who were passively exposed to bleach as a disinfectant at home and in school found an increased frequency of respiratory symptoms such as respiratory inflammation and recurrent bronchitis, as well as other related infections.

That is why we only use InnuScience plant-based organic cleaning products, Eco-Schools and Leaping Bunny approved.
